Our journey began in March 1988, when our founder Ahmet A. Mete established a dedicated sole proprietorship in Istanbul, initially specializing in medical textiles. Driven by entrepreneurial vision, this foundation quickly expanded into a reputable family enterprise, operating for over two decades as a trusted international trading and supply partner. Throughout this period, we built deep market intelligence and a robust global network.
In 2011, to meet the demands of the modern international arena, we underwent a vital structural transformation. Moving forward with a strategic focus on institutionalization and dedicated branding, we transitioned into a family-owned limited company (Ltd. Şti.) and officially launched our own proprietary brand, Biomedical™ (Biomed). We consolidated our entire infrastructure and decades of field expertise to focus completely on core medical manufacturing, domestic distribution, and global export.
Today, carrying a 38-year heritage, Biomedical™ OEM serves as a trusted engineering and contract manufacturing partner for global healthcare leaders, offering absolute quality control, regulatory compliance, and exceptional competitive power.
Our medical grade Soft Armor range (BM-GB01 / BM-GB04) is a CE-marked Class I Medical Device under MDR (EU) 2017/745, Rule 1, and carries the MD symbol on both the unit and the carton label. Our PPE grade range (BM-PP01 / BM-PP04) is supplied outside the medical device scope under Regulation (EU) 2016/425.
Compliance is supported by test reports issued by accredited independent European laboratories, with the full technical file maintained under our ISO 13485:2016 quality system.
